Dr. Guddati V Ramana Kumar is the practicing Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery in Visakhapatnam for the last two decades, He is attached to Apollo, Omni, Hospitals in Vizag and a visiting Consultant in Vizyanagaram district, Tirumala Superspecality hospital, Sai Hospital and Surya Global Super Specialty hospital in EGDT (East Godavari district).

He worked in Thoracic unit and gained enormous exposure in Thoracic and Thoracoscopic surgeries.
Dr.Ramana Kumar has done his Superspecality (CVTS) in Prestigious KEM (King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai), where he had extensive hands on training in all types of Cardiac Surgeries. He later joined as Junior consultant in Apollo Chennai, under PadmaBhushan Dr M.R.Girinath and gained enormous experience in OFF PUMP CABG, and Total Arterial revascularization. He was also associated with Dr Sunder, Dr Ramesh, Dr Madan who started Transplant program me and got initial exposer to Transplant Surgeries.
Dr G.V Ramana Kumar has done his Fellowship in Adult Cardiac surgery in RAH (Royal Adelaide Hospital) Adelaide, South Australia where he gained hands on training in Valve sparing Root surgeries, MICS, (Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgeries), and Endo Vascular Surgeries.
Dr Ramana Kumar returned back to Visakhapatnam from abroad and has been practicing here for 2 Decades exclusively doing all kinds of innovative Hybrid Surgical Work along with routine Adult Cardiac Surgeries including CABG, off pump, Total Arterial Revascularizations, Valve replacements, Valve repairs, Aneurysms of Ascending, Arch, and Descending Aorta, also does lot of Thoracic work including Lobectomy, Pneumonectomy, Decortications and Thoracoplasties. He also does peripheral revascularization in extremities in PVD and trauma with vascular injuries.
